Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walad Anubis (ranked 250 p4p, 928 weight class) and Hong Kong (ranked 39 p4p, 130 weight class). Anubis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hideaway. Kong has chosen Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walad Anubis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hong Kong!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong misses with an uppercut
and Anubis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kong shoots for a takedown but Anubis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kong looks to score with a jab to the body but Anubis is just out of range.
It looked like Anubis was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Anubis connects with a looping right hand.
Anubis ducks under a wild hook from Kong.
Kong loads up on a big right hand but Anubis slips the punch.
An attempted straight right counter from Anubis misses the target.
Kong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anubis manages to avoid it.
Anubis swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kong throws a lazy uppercut

and Anubis counters with a nice right hand that sends Kong toppling to the canvas! Kong scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Anubis finish him?!

Kong is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kong cracks Anubis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Hong Kong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anubis momentarily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kong has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Anubis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Anubis drops Kong with a naaaaasty hook - Kong is in real trouble here! Anubis dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Walad Anubis!
