The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Albans in particular looking to stall.
Albans is just content to waste time from the top position. Somelainen takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Albans is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Albans stands and throws Somelainen's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Somelainen is trying to get back to half guard.

Albans tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Albans wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Somelainen, who protects the arm well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Albans has an Americana. Somelainen didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Albans is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Albans hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

In his post fight interview, Matthew Albans started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
