Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phol Hunt (ranked 2253 p4p, 2335 weight class) and Ezekiel Marley (ranked 269 p4p, 278 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Phol Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ezekiel Marley!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hunt throws a shot from downtown. Marley moves away and avoids it.
A little jabbing left from Marley on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Marley ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Marley is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hunt with a body shot.
Hunt misses with a hook
and Marley counters with a left to the body.
Hunt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Marley steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hunt.
Marley let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hunt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hunt duly obliges.
Marley connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hunt misses with a body shot
and Marley counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hunt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marley circles away quickly and effectively.
Hunt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Marley looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Marley tries to move into range but Hunt moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt misses with a body shot
and Marley counters with a low kick, right behind Hunt 's knee.
Marley throws a shot to the body.
Marley avoids the body shot from Hunt.
Hunt misses with an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunt scores with a shot to the body.
Hunt misses with a left hand
and Marley counters with a good, hard body kick but Hunt shrugs it off.
Hunt is breathing heavily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Marley.
Phol Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marley manages to avoid it.
Marley throws out a counter right but Hunt avoids it with no problem.
Hunt throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Marley thows a body kick. Hunt tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Marley lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hunt will feel that in the morning.
Marley scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hunt in his tracks.

Marley feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hunt sprawling to the canvas! Hunt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Marley finish him?!

It looks like Phol Hunt has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt throws a combination that misses
and Marley counters with an outside leg kick.
Hunt circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Marley. Hunt falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Marley!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ezekiel Marley!
An out of breath Ezekiel Marley thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
