Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tu Barrels (ranked 2242 p4p, 2042 weight class) and Kevin McGuire (ranked 269 p4p, 253 weight class). Barrels comes to the cage accompanied by Lock stock and. McGuire has chosen Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Tu Barrels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kevin McGuire!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
McGuire ducks right into an uppercut from Barrels.
Barrels slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

McGuire moves into the clinch.
McGuire working aggressively here.
McGuire misses with a punch to the body.
McGuire swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McGuire misses with some punches.
McGuire is stalling here.
McGuire swings wildly with an uppercut but Barrels uses good head movement to avoid it.
McGuire blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from McGuire fails to land.
McGuire tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Our sources have told us that Barrels has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Barrels misses with some punches.
McGuire working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Barrels lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Barrels looking to throw knees to the head but McGuire is blocking nicely.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McGuire.
McGuire lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Barrels swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McGuire stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Barrels misses with a punch on the inside.
McGuire blocks an elbow strike from Barrels.
Barrels misses with an elbow strike.
McGuire misses with a punch to the body.
Barrels is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McGuire tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Barrels's elbow.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
McGuire working aggressively here.

Barrels gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McGuire is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Barrels postures up in McGuire's guard and throws a big left but McGuire blocks it.

Barrels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGuire swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Barrels forces his way into half guard.

Barrels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McGuire does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Barrels with the ground and pound but McGuire uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Barrels has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Barrels connects with a couple of short punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McGuire is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Barrels defends well.
Barrels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Barrels passes easily into side control. Nice work.

McGuire tries to improve position but can't.
Barrels tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
McGuire tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Barrels wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
McGuire can't do much from the bottom here.
McGuire is not content to let Barrels control the position.
McGuire gets back to half guard.
Barrels working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McGuire is trying to maintain the position but Barrels is very close to passing his half guard.
Barrels trying to mount his opponent but McGuire defends it.
McGuire avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barrels.
Barrels trying to control the action but McGuire is working from the bottom.
Barrels passes to side control.
McGuire stops Barrels from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGuire is trying to get back to half guard.
McGuire is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tu Barrels dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Barrels misses with a looping left.
McGuire delivers a nice body kick.
Barrels blocks a jab.
McGuire shoots in looking for a takedown but Barrels manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGuire's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Barrels is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from McGuire.
Barrels misses with a straight left.
A little jabbing left from McGuire on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
McGuire avoids the body shot from Barrels.
Barrels fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGuire manages to avoid it.
Barrels moves out of range of the strikes.
McGuire wants to land a leg kick but Barrels is out of range.
McGuire catches Barrels with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Barrels forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kevin McGuire!
Kevin McGuire seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
