Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Bass (ranked 1756 p4p, 1472 weight class) and Vasko Madzarov (ranked 224 p4p, 191 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vasko Madzarov!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bass looks to land a left hand but Madzarov moved out of range nicely.
Bass throws a hook but Madzarov blocks it.
Madzarov looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bass scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Bass misses with a hook
and Madzarov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Madzarov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bass misses with a left hand

and Madzarov counters with a crisp one two that drops Bass! Madzarov thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Bass to his feet! Bass is in big trouble!
Madzarov tries to move into range but Bass moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Madzarov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bass throws an off balance right hand
and Madzarov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Madzarov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bass.
Bass cracks Madzarov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Bass misses with a hook
and Madzarov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bass's knee momentarily.
Madzarov ducks under a wild hook from Bass.
Good shot there by Bass.
Bass is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bass fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bass keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Madzarov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Madzarov lands a left and a right that send Bass crashing to the mat, dazed. Madzarov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Sam Bass has been cut.
Bass is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bass is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Madzarov.
Madzarov counters with a body kick.
Bass looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bass throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Madzarov throws out a counter right but Bass avoids it with no problem.
Madzarov ducks under a wild hook from Bass.

Bass lands a jab.
Bass rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Madzarov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Bass! Madzarov lets Bass back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The fighters circling - Bass throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Madzarov feints a counter leg kick.
A thudding body kick lands there by Madzarov!
Madzarov lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bass's sensitive parts.
Madzarov lands a brutal uppercut that launches Bass off his feet! Bass tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
