PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Npenni Nzoechi (ranked 4251 p4p, 2445 weight class) and Keith Deorsa (ranked 148 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nzoechi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Deorsa to the mat! Deorsa manages to get full guard.

Nzoechi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nzoechi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nzoechi drops back looking for a leg! Deorsa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Deorsa manages to kick Nzoechi off! Nzoechi jumps back into Deorsa's guard.
Nzoechi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Deorsa's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nzoechi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Deorsa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nzoechi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nzoechi seems to be working for a kimura but Deorsa defends the submission attempt.

Nzoechi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Deorsa could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Nzoechi has cracked it and Deorsa is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Nzoechi!
