Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davdio Branko (ranked 167 p4p, 239 weight class) and Lusmu Kutvonen (ranked 7 p4p, 15 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Lusmu Kutvonen! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kutvonen throws a head kick that misses. Branko shoots for a double leg takedown but Kutvonen sprawls well. He's pushed Branko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A little jabbing left from Kutvonen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Branko dives in and grabs Kutvonen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kutvonen pushes down on Branko's head and hops out. Branko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kutvonen as he avoids it easily. It seemed like Kutvonen was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davdio Branko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Branko slips under a jab. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kutvonen enables Branko to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kutvonen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kutvonen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Branko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Branko looking to pass the guard. Kutvonen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Branko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Branko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kutvonen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Branko has Kutvonen in his guard.
Branko looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Branko is looking for a triangle but Kutvonen pushes his legs off easily.
Branko wants to sweep here but Kutvonen controlling him for the moment. Branko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kutvonen manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Branko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kutvonen is keeping the position for now. Kutvonen seems keen to control Branko's posture. Branko wants to pass the guard but Kutvonen is keeping the position. Branko stopping the sweep attempt from Kutvonen. Branko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kutvonen keeping full guard, as Branko tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Branko is working hard here to advance position. Kutvonen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Branko manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kutvonen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Branko wants to hit a sweep here but Kutvonen passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Branko there! Branko sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Branko wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Branko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kutvonen pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Branko looking for submissions off his back. Branko actively working from the bottom here. Branko is looking for a sweep. Kutvonen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kutvonen in particular looking to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kutvonen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Davdio Branko will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Branko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kutvonen swivels and escapes. Kutvonen leaves Branko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kutvonen slaps away a takedown attempt from Branko, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kutvonen throws out a counter right but Branko avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davdio Branko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kutvonen throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Davdio Branko has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kutvonen lands a big head kick that sends Branko to the canvas! Kutvonen follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
