The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mad Onion connects with a body shot that sends Nekele's belly button to the back.
Mad Onion tries a head kick but it misses.
Mad Onion bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nekele lands with a good body shot.
Mad Onion jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nekele steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mad Onion.
Mad Onion tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nekele manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Luke Mad Onion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mad Onion checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Nekele's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nekele's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Mad Onion throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nekele blocks it with crossed arms.
Nekele tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Naiki Nekele's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
