Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Joseph Watson (ranked 1322 p4p, 1379 weight class) and Shane Raffington (ranked 202 p4p, 214 weight class). Watson comes to the cage accompanied by Anarchy in the UK. Raffington has chosen Logan Lucky as his entrance music. Shane Raffington struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Raffington!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Raffington looks to throw the jab but Watson is out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Watson or perhaps it was just good defense by Raffington, which made it look bad.

Shane Raffington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watson throws a nice inside leg kick.

Watson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've been informed that Raffington has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Watson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raffington's waist but Raffington gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Watson off to one side.

Raffington throws a leg kick which misses Watson's front leg but catches the back leg as Watson tries to avoid it.

Raffington throws a low kick, looking for Watson's leg but Watson calmly moves out of range.
Raffington lands a nice shot to the body.

Watson lunges at Raffington with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Raffington's hand.

Watson shoots in but Raffington avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Raffington doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Raffington jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Watson throws a body punch but Raffington moves out of range.

Raffington scores with a jab. Watson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

and Watson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Raffington gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Watson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Raffington wants to get back to his feet but Watson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Watson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Raffington swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Raffington wants to stand up but Watson is controlling him.
Raffington is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Watson dives into side control.
Raffington is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Raffington tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Raffington wants to get back to his feet.

Watson has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Raffington wants to get back to his feet.

Raffington defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Watson's arms.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watson is looking to control Raffington but Raffington is wriggling around and keeping busy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shane Raffington dominated that round.

Raffington fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Raffington throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Watson is looking to wear down Raffington with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Raffington is refusing to be controlled, as Watson sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Watson seems content to control.
Raffington misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Raffington pushes Watson off, looking to escape but Watson dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Raffington is forced to tap! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Paul Joseph Watson!
Paul Joseph Watson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
