Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jones (ranked 974 p4p, 1675 weight class) and Jerome Steel (ranked 47 p4p, 82 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerome Steel!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Steel backs up against the cage.

It looks like Jerome Steel has been cut.
Jones staying out of range there.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Steel.
Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steel throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Steel blocks a low kick nicely.
Steel throws a lazy uppercut
and Steel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Steel lands a jab to the head.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Steel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jones has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jones and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steel throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
Jones throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Steel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Steel works the jab nicely.
Steel's coach down at Punch Out Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Jones throws a solid leg kick but Steel takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jones.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Steel scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Steel takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jones walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Steel scores with a nice strike.
Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Steel's hands.
Jones throws a body shot but no joy.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jerome Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Steel gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Steel! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Steel to his feet! Steel is in big trouble!

Steel is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters circling - Steel throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Steel is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him?
A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steel seems to have recovered his senses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Steel. Jones shrugs it off though.
Steel lands a slapping body shot.
Steel looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
A big left from Steel misses.
Steel lands a head kick!

It looks like Kim Jones has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steel misses with a shot to the body

and Jones counters with a crisp one two that drops Steel! Jones thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Steel to his feet! Steel is in big trouble!

That has opened up Jerome Steel's cut even more.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Jones slips a jab from Steel.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Steel throws a low kick but Jones moves out of range easily.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Steel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head.
Steel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Steel.
Jones jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Steel looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely.
Steel with the inside leg kick.
Donk. Steel catches Jones right on the button with a cross.
Steel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Steel.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Steel cracks a nice hook into Jones's ribs.
Jones drops his hands momentarily and Steel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jones lands a jab to the head.
Jones walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Steel throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Jones counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Steel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones throwing a counter right hand but Steel manages to avoid it.
Steel lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jones rushes Steel with punches - Steel moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Steel goes down! Jones follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Jones!
Kim Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
