The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire dodges the punch combination from Dixon.
McGuire swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Dixon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGuire circles away quickly and effectively.
McGuire feinted there with a counter leg kick.
McGuire throws a body punch but Dixon moves out of range.
Nice body kick from McGuire.
McGuire swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McGuire's corner calls for a 1-2. McGuire obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Ali Dixon has been cut.
Dixon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Dixon scores with a hook to the body. McGuire takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Dixon lands a jab to the head.
McGuire lands a jab to Dixon's midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dixon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McGuire. McGuire obviously looking to wear him down.
McGuire throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dixon is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
A slow jab from Dixon misses its intended target.
McGuire looks to land a body kick but Dixon moved away.

and McGuire counters with a good low kick that Dixon was not able to check.
McGuire takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Dixon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Dixon throws a left and a right that both miss
and McGuire counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dixon looks winded!
McGuire lands with a right hand.
Dixon throws a leg kick
and McGuire cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice defenses there by McGuire.
Ali Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Dixon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and McGuire counters with a nice right hand that sends Dixon toppling to the canvas! Dixon scrambles and gets back to his feet - can McGuire finish him?!

Dixon is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGuire lands a brutal uppercut that launches Dixon off his feet! Dixon tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
