Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mental Warrior (ranked 2296 p4p, 3298 weight class) and Douglas Cardozo (ranked 305 p4p, 402 weight class). Warrior comes to the cage accompanied by Side to Side. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mental Warrior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Douglas Cardozo! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardozo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Warrior doesn't seem bothered though. A big right from Warrior misses. Cardozo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Warrior moves away from the strike by Cardozo. A counter left hand to the body from Warrior misses its target. Mental Warrior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Warrior throws an off balance right hand
and Cardozo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Warrior won't be happy with that. Cardozo wants to control but Warrior is keeping him busy. Warrior wants to get back to his feet. Cardozo advances nicely into full mount. Warrior stops Cardozo from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Cardozo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Warrior's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cardozo is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Warrior is surviving well by controlling Cardozo's body position as best he can. Warrior is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Cardozo trying to control but Warrior is having none of it. Cardozo with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warrior tries to buck Cardozo off but he can't manage it. Cardozo throwing strikes here but Warrior is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Warrior has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Warrior is trying to get back to his feet but Cardozo has full control of the position and if anything, Warrior has just worked his way into a worse spot. Cardozo looking for the RNC. Cardozo looking for the RNC. Cardozo has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Warrior is in real trouble here. Cardozo gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Warrior is tapping out! Cardozo wins by rear naked choke!
