Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldo Gomes (ranked 1878 p4p, 2331 weight class) and Jackson Boone (ranked 275 p4p, 327 weight class). Gomes's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cheo Gallego - El Anciano y El Niño. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronaldo Gomes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Boone!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sloppy strikes from Boone. Those never looked like landing.
Boone takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gomes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Boone throws out the jab.
Gomes drops down looking for a counter takedown but Boone sprawls and moves away.
Gomes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Boone wants to sweep but no luck.
Gomes is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Boone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
We've been informed that Boone has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gomes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gomes has an Americana. Boone didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gomes is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gomes hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ronaldo Gomes decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
