Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Geronimo Garcia (ranked 2992 p4p, 3032 weight class) and Mason Rogers (ranked 281 p4p, 286 weight class). Mason Rogers has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Geronimo Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia checks a low kick from Rogers.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown but Rogers shows good takedown defense.

Rogers dives in and scores a takedown into Garcia's guard.

Garcia looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rogers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rogers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garcia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rogers has managed to get both his arms back between Garcia's legs - danger averted.

Garcia tries to buck Rogers off but Rogers is having none of it.

Garcia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rogers is just riding it out for now. Garcia eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Garcia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rogers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Garcia.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rogers makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rogers.

Garcia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rogers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Garcia has Rogers in his guard.

Garcia looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Rogers has picked Garcia up and slammed him! Garcia can't keep hold of the triangle and Rogers manages to pass to side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it.

Mason Rogers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rogers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
