Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Piper!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper looks to throw the jab but Gunnarsson is out of range.
Gunnarsson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Gunnarsson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Piper takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
A jab from Piper finds it's way through Gunnarsson's defenses.

Piper has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Gunnarsson seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Piper can turn it around.

Piper sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Gunnarsson cracks Piper with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Piper tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gunnarsson pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Piper is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunnar Gunnarsson!
