Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Olan Zapina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Iverson!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zapina pushes Iverson away with a front kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Zapina.
Zapina takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Iverson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zapina wants to clinch but Iverson slips to the side
and Iverson counters with a nice uppercut.
Zapina misses with a low kick.
Zapina tries to clinch there but Iverson circles away.
Iverson thuds a left hand into Zapina's body.
Iverson misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iverson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zapinas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Zapina connects with a solid leg kick.
Iverson jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Zapina pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A little jabbing left from Iverson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Zapina gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Iverson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Zapina is looking to clinch.
Iverson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Zapina.
Iverson throws a hook but Zapina blocks it.
Zapina misses with a body kick.
Iverson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zapina was well out of range. Poor timing from Iverson.
Iverson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Iverson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Iverson takes a swing at Zapina's ribcage but misses.

Zapina explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Zapina misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Zapina misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zapina fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iverson.
Iverson lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Zapina lunges at Iverson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Iverson's hand.

Zapina fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iverson.
Zapina misses with a kick to the body.

Zapina clinches up with Iverson and pushes him back against the cage.
Zapina fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
With the fighters up against the cage, Zapina throws an elbow but misses.
Zapina creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Iverson's defenses.
Zapina misses with a punch to the body.
Iverson wants to break free but Zapina has control.
Zapina has a couple of punches blocked by Iverson.
Iverson dodges an elbow strike from Zapina.

Iverson prevents a body shot from Zapina.
Iverson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Zapina misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Zapina lands an elbow inside that Iverson shrugs off.

Zapina misses with a hook to the ribs.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zapina just misses with a elbow thrown towards Iverson's brow.
Zapina lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Zapina comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zapina creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Iverson's defenses.
Zapina has Iverson pressed against the cage. He pushes Iverson back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Zapina throws a beautiful elbow that sends Iverson crashing to the floor! Zapina piles on the pressure with more strikes! Iverson is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
