Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Esposito (ranked 610 p4p, 885 weight class) and Jesse James (ranked 92 p4p, 130 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leonardo Esposito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse James! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Esposito throws a leg kick and James counters with a stiff right hand. Esposito works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A telegraphed right hand from Esposito misses the target. A nice side step and James releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Esposito is looking to chop away at James's legs. And an attempted straight right on the counter from James! But no joy. We've been told by Esposito's head coaches at FIST OF FURY that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. James uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Esposito. James looks like he wants to counter punch here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Esposito has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

and James counters with a lovely straight right hand! Esposito throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Esposito misses with a kick to the body and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Esposito throws an off balance right hand
and James counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. James tries to move into range but Esposito moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Esposito lands a really nice looking cross but James seems unphased.
