Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akaro Horiguchi (ranked 167 p4p, 132 weight class) and Lynton Miller (ranked 31 p4p, 23 weight class). Horiguchi's entrance music is Japanese Imperial Army Death March. A fine choice. Miller has chosen Tool - Sober as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Akaro Horiguchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Lynton Miller!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horiguchi just misses with a punch to the body.
Miller throws a body shot but no joy.
A head kick misses from Horiguchi.
Horiguchi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Millers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Miller gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Miller moves away from the strike by Horiguchi.
And Miller tries to counter it with a takedown but Horiguchi pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Akaro Horiguchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller throws the left hand but Horiguchi avoids the punch easily.
The crowd cheers as Horiguchi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Miller doesn't seem phased though.
Miller has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Horiguchi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller looks for the body kick but Horiguchi saw that one coming.

Miller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Miller has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like Miller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Miller wants to take a breather but Horiguchi is having none of it.
Horiguchi is trying to stand up here but Miller is controlling him well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Horiguchi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Miller checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Miller working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

I would just about give that final round to Lynton Miller.
