Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Quebra Cranio (ranked 1006 p4p, 1676 weight class) and John Makres (ranked 145 p4p, 230 weight class). Cranio's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, It's My Life. Makres has chosen SABATON - Coat of Arms as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Quebra Cranio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Makres!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makres tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Makres wants to clinch but Cranio slips to the side
and Cranio counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Makres closes the distance and pushes Cranio back into the cage.
Makres is working Cranio over against the cage.
Makres stalling in the clinch.
Makres is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Cranio comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Makres blocks a body shot from Cranio.

Cranio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Makres moves in looking to clinch but Cranio pushes him off.
Cranio throwing a counter right hand but Makres manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makres tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cranio manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cranio ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
We've been informed that Makres has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Makres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cranio paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cranio was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Makres throws a push kick but Cranio slaps the foot to one side.
An attempted straight right counter from Cranio misses the target.
Makres takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Makres throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cranio.
Cranio throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Cranio counters with a crisp right hand that drops Makres! Cranio lets Makres back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Cranio counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Makres will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Makres throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Makres lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Makres plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cranio feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Makres sprawling to the canvas! Makres rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Cranio finish him?!
Cranio lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Makres - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Cranio!

An out of breath Quebra Cranio thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
