Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lars Kay (ranked 1171 p4p, 1863 weight class) and Michael Collins (ranked 120 p4p, 184 weight class). Michael Collins struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Michael Collins looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Kay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Collins! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Ron Honeybunn and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kay dips to his left and cracks Collins with an uppercut! Kay throws a jab when Collins was well out of range. Collins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kay moves away. Kay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kay working the ground and pound. Kay scoring with punches and elbows. Kay creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kay throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Kay is working Collins over with some ground and pound from side control. Kay misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Collins is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kay working away. Kay in side control, just content to control the action for now. Collins prevents Kay from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Kay's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kay works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Kay scores with a couple of short elbows. Kay is trying to move to mount but Collins reverses beautifully and ends up in Kay's guard. Kay looking to hit a scissor sweep but Collins is one step ahead there. Collins trying to control but Kay is working from the bottom. Collins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Collins wants to control from the top but Kay keeps moving. Kay working for a triangle but Collins defends it easily.
Kay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Collins defends well. Collins tries to free his leg and advance position but Kay is retaining full guard. Kay is trying to control the position but Collins postures up. Kay keeping moving, preventing Collins from controlling successfully. Kay being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Collins defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kay looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Collins won't allow Kay to sweep him here. Kay looking for a guillotine here but Collins defends easily.
Collins pushing down on Kay's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kay keeps control of the position for the meantime. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Collins passes to side control. Kay sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Collins is looking for a kimura but Kay is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Collins to get the leverage. Kay wants to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Kay dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Collins throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kay shoots in looking for a takedown. Collins tries to sprawl out of it but Kay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Collins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Collins moves away. Kay staying out of range there. Collins cracks Kay with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kay listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kay bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Collins's head. Collins misses with a low kick. Collins swings away with a leg kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kay scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Collins bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Collins looks to throw the jab but Kay is out of range. Collins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kay.
Kay misses with a hook. Collins ducked under it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kay scores with a hook to the body. Collins takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Collins uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kay. Kay tests Collins's chin there with a solid looking shot. Collins keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kay. Kay moves out of range of the body kick. Kay with a nice cross. Kay drives through with a takedown into guard. Kay trying to control but Collins is working from the bottom. Kay lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kay sitting in guard here, content to control. Kay looking to sit in guard and control but Collins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Collins passes into half guard. Collins trying to control from half guard but Kay is working away. Lars Kay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Collins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kay tries to get to full guard but Collins has control of the leg. Kay is working hard here to advance position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kay has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Collins is working away from the top position though. Kay is looking for a sweep. Collins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kay is pressing down on Collins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Collins passes easily into side control. Nice work. Collins trying to control the action but Kay is working from the bottom. Kay manages to work his way to half guard, despite Collins's best efforts. Collins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Collins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Collins looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kay is refusing to be controlled, as Collins sits in half guard. Kay looking for submissions off his back. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kay is defending against the submission attempts here by Collins.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Kay dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round! Collins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Collins with a jab. Collins tries to clinch but Kay moves out of range. Kay connects with a body shot. Kay moves away from the strike by Collins. Kay closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. A big left from Collins misses. Kay changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Kay takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kay drives through with a takedown into guard. Collins avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kay lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kay landing some decent shots from guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kay landing with the ground and pound. Collins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kay scoring with punches to the head and body. Kay looking to sit in guard and control but Collins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Collins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kay has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Collins should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kay has tightened it up now! Collins should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
