Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Jankovic (ranked 4948 p4p, 4949 weight class) and Free Velasquez (ranked 478 p4p, 479 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Jankovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Free Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but Jankovic shows good takedown defense. Velasquez closes the distance and clinches. Velasquez manages to break the clinch.
Jankovic shoots for a takedown but Velasquez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Velasquez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A combination from Velasquez does no damage. Jankovic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Despite the aggression on Velasquez's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Jankovic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jankovic drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Velasquez pulls Jankovic in close to his closed guard and prevents Jankovic from doing any damage or advancing position. Jankovic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Velasquez has a closed guard, preventing Jankovic from standing up. Velasquez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Velasquez is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jankovic trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Velasquez manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Velasquez stays in close to Jankovic's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jankovic trying to control the position.
Jankovic has an active guard here but Velasquez has managed to pass into half guard.
Velasquez wants to stand up but Jankovic is controlling the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Velasquez lands with a punch from half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Free Velasquez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Velasquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
