Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Axl Cailean (ranked 1059 p4p, 652 weight class) and Kane Thoupos (ranked 156 p4p, 96 weight class). Thoupos has chosen 151 Rum - JID as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axl Cailean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kane Thoupos!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Thoupos.
An attempted straight right counter from Cailean misses the target.

It looked like Cailean wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cailean tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Thoupos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cailean has his foot on Thoupos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Thoupos works his way back into a safe position though.
Cailean is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thoupos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cailean stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Oh Cailean is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Thoupos bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

A quick step to the side and Cailean tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Thoupos digs a right hand underneath Cailean's ribcage. Cailean let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thoupos pushes Cailean against the cage. Thoupos is working some dirty boxing. Thoupos pushes off with a quick right hook! Cailean goes down! Cailean tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Thoupos moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

After winning the bout, Kane Thoupos thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
