Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yaya Kouame (ranked 829 p4p, 1711 weight class) and Ante Novak (ranked 113 p4p, 232 weight class). Kouame comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - All Eyez On Me. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novak catches Kouame with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Novak ducks under a wild hook from Kouame.
Kouame keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Novak throws a big shot that misses.
We've been told by Kouame's head coaches at Gold Samurai's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Novak displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kouame throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Novak! But no joy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kouame. Novak does a little dance to reset his feet.

Novak lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kouame's sensitive parts.
Novak scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Yaya Kouame seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Novak goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kouame tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Novak was well out of range. Poor timing from Kouame.
Novak lands with a right hand.
Novak walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Ante Novak has been cut.
Kouame takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Novak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kouame.
Novak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kouame steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Novak. That one must have hurt.

Kouame moves out of range as Novak throws a body kick.

Novak throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kouame on the side of the head.

That kick from Novak tenderised Kouame's leg. Kouame is trying to keep his angry face on.

Kouame is rocked!
Novak flashes Kouame a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Kouame's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Kouame crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Novak punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
