Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Winston Todd (ranked 27 p4p, 81 weight class) and Jake Bird (ranked 4 p4p, 13 weight class). Todd comes into the arena with Piano Man blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Bird!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird moves into the clinch successfully.
Todd lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bird is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Todd to keep the fight standing.
Bird has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Todd uses from the top position.
Todd is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Todd is sitting in close to Bird's body. Bird has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Todd is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Todd is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bird.
