Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beric Collins (ranked 2938 p4p, 2483 weight class) and Kristoffer Rud (ranked 333 p4p, 300 weight class). Rud is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Run Boy Run. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beric Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kristoffer Rud! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins connects with a crisp jab. Collins ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Collins throws a low kick, looking for Rud's leg but Rud calmly moves out of range. Nice takedown defense from Collins. No joy for Rud on that attempt. Rud closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rud tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rud has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rud stands up and beckons Collins to his feet. Rud gets the takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rud wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Collins, who protects the arm well. Rud tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rud has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Collins is trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rud wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Collins, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rud working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Collins is trying to control Rud's posture but Rud avoids it. Rud has an Americana. Collins didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rud is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rud hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
