The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gianni paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice straight punches there by Gianni. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gianni.

Banito Gianni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gianni throws a combination that misses
and Luciano counters with a straight right hand.
Gianni looks to throw the jab but Luciano is out of range.
Luciano looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Gianni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Luciano.
Luciano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Gianni throws a lazy right hand but Luciano sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gianni definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gianni lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Luciano backs up against the cage.
Luciano sizes up Gianni with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Banito Gianni has been cut.
Gianni uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Luciano.
A little feinted left hand from Gianni on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Luciano looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Luciano throws a shot from downtown. Gianni moves away and avoids it.

Oooooh!!! Gianni has knocked Luciano down with a huge combo! Gianni steps away and waves a wobbly Luciano back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Gianni looks to land a left hand but Luciano moved out of range nicely.
Gianni throws a series of punches but Luciano avoids them all with ease.
Luciano seems to have recovered his senses.
Gianni throws a jab when Luciano was well out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luciano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gianni.
Luciano cracks Gianni with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gianni misses with a left hand
and Luciano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Luciano moves out of range of the strikes.
Gianni throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Luciano sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Luciano cracks Gianni with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Luciano has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Gianni to stand back up!

Gianni is rocked!
Luciano throws the left hand but Gianni avoids the punch easily.
Gianni throws a lazy uppercut
and Luciano counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Gianni falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
