PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kree P Krawlee (ranked 1312 p4p, 1428 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 186 p4p, 203 weight class). Krawlee comes to the cage accompanied by Sail. Smith has chosen Television - Marquee Moon as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryant Smith!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krawlee checks a leg kick.
Krawlee takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Smith lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Smith lands a nice leg kick that just misses Krawlee's sensitive parts.
Krawlee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smith can pounce on him.

I really don't envy Krawlee right now.

I've been told that Smith has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Krawlee is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Smith gets his way!

It looks like Kree P Krawlee has been cut.

Krawlee moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Smith is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Krawlee rather than just go for the knockout.
Krawlee closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Krawlee pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kree P Krawlee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Smith in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Smith throws a hook to the side of Krawlee's head but Krawlee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab.
Krawlee scores with a nice strike.

Smith is rocked!
Krawlee is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Smith flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Smith is out cold! Krawlee holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kree P Krawlee!
