Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Armand Christophe (ranked 409 p4p, 183 weight class) and Leonzar Kennedy (ranked 64 p4p, 30 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Christophe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Shadows. Armand Christophe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy lands a right hook to the body.
Kennedy dodges the punch combination from Christophe.
A nice side step and Kennedy releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Christophe lands with a cross.
Kennedy slips under a jab from Christophe.
Kennedy looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kennedy.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Kennedy needs to keep his hands up - Christophe had a free shot at his head there.
Christophe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kennedy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A little jabbing left from Kennedy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Leonzar Kennedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kennedy misses with a hook to the body
and Christophe counters with a head kick. That will keep Kennedy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

We've been hearing reports that Christophe has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Christophe throws a low kick, looking for Kennedy's leg but Kennedy calmly moves out of range.

Kennedy wants to counter the offense by Christophe and move into the clinch position.

Christophe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kennedy eats them both and turns towards Christophe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Kennedy feints a jab promting Christophe to slip. Kennedy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Christophe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Christophe's corner calls for a 1-2. Christophe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looked like Christophe was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Kennedy takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kennedy moves forwards but Christophe connects with a nice, crisp jab.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kennedy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Christophe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Christophe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Christophe lands in his opponent's guard.
Christophe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kennedy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Christophe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kennedy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Christophe has hold of Kennedy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kennedy seems comfortable defending it but Christophe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kennedy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kennedy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Christophe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
