Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ichioka Kaori (ranked 885 p4p, 3080 weight class) and Duannis Frank (ranked 131 p4p, 400 weight class). Kaori comes to the cage accompanied by GOZEN. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kaori doesn't manage to clinch there - Frank circles away.
Kaori misses with a looping right.
Kaori throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Frank throws a shot from downtown. Kaori moves away and avoids it.
Kaori throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frank fails with an attempt to clinch.
Frank loads up on a big right hand but Kaori slips the punch.
Duannis Frank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frank misses with a body shot.
Frank slips a straight right by Kaori.
We've been told by Kaori's head coaches at Brotherhood MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kaori bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kaori lands a big head kick that sends Frank tumbling to the mat! Kaori takes a step backwards and waves Frank back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Frank is rocked!
Frank glances at the clock... BAM! Kaori nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Frank crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Frank is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ichioka Kaori!
A relieved looking Ichioka Kaori thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
