Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ryan (ranked 1090 p4p, 863 weight class) and Luigi Bonifacio (ranked 154 p4p, 124 weight class). Bonifacio is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Karate - Kennedy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Luigi Bonifacio enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonifacio misses with a two punch combination.

Ryan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bonifacio gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bonifacio swings wildly with an uppercut but Ryan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Bonifacio has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Ryan seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bonifacio can turn it around.

We've been hearing reports that Ryan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Bonifacio is pressed up against the cage. Ryan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bonifacio down to the mat. Bonifacio avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Bonifacio moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Bonifacio misses with a wild body shot.
Ryan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Ryan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ryan drops his hands momentarily and Bonifacio takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Ryan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Bonifacio feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ryans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Bonifacio tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ryan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bonifacio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bonifacio is rocked!
Bonifacio rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ryan counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Bonifacio badly! Ryan follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Bonifacio out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Ryan finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Eddie Ryan!
Eddie Ryan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Luigi Bonifacio stepped up to the mic, saying 'I am the BEST!'.
