And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arturo Ellacuria!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ellacuria!
It looks like Jim Reefer has been cut.
Ellacuria closes the distance looking to clinch
and Reefer counters with a left to the body.
Arturo Ellacuria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ellacuria scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Reefer lunges at Ellacuria with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ellacuria's hand.

and Reefer counters with a nice uppercut.

Reefer scores with a nice right hand.
No joy there for Ellacuria, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Reefer lands a big uppercut and Ellacuria crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ellacuria looks OK. Reefer waves Ellacuria back to his feet!
Ellacuria is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reefer scoring well with a low kick there.

Reefer throws a quick inside leg kick.
Reefer works Ellacuria's body with a nice hook.
Ellacuria scores with a sloppy right hand. Reefer should have avoided that one.
Reefer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ellacuria to score with a decent uppercut.
Reefer scores with a kick to the midsection.
Ellacuria seems to have recovered his senses.
Ellacuria misses the jab.
Ellacuria misses with an uppercut. Reefer saw that one coming.
Reefer circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ellacuria has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Reefer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ellacuria throws out the jab.
Reefer shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Reefer lands a big head kick that sends Ellacuria tumbling to the mat! Reefer takes a step backwards and waves Ellacuria back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Arturo Ellacuria has been cut.
Ellacuria fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reefer, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reefer creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ellacuria with a big uppercut! Ellacuria tries to clinch up but Reefer pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ellacuria to the mat! Ellacuria covers up and Reefer unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jim Reefer!
