Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miyata San (ranked 945 p4p, 558 weight class) and Lewis Pendragon (ranked 94 p4p, 54 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
San looks to score with a jab to the body but Pendragon is just out of range.
Pendragon lands a lovely overhand right.
Pendragon pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pendragon cracks a nice hook into San's ribs.

Pendragon has San up against the cage in a clinch.
San swings wildly with an uppercut but Pendragon uses good head movement to avoid it.

San tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pendragon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lewis Pendragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pendragon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pendragon shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Pendragon wants to clinch but San slips to the side

and San counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pendragon is trying to keep San in close.

San has gone for a leg lock! Pendragon slips out almost immediately though and dives into San's guard.

The crowd cheers as Pendragon lands an impressive looking overhand right. San doesn't seem phased though.

Pendragon feints a jab promting San to slip. Pendragon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. San slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Pendragon has managed to clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pendragon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Pendragon turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pendragon bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps San's head backwards.
Pendragon connects with a jab.

San is rocked!
Pendragon walks forward and throws a big overhand right! San drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Pendragon swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from San's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
