Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bodie Helix (ranked 4296 p4p, 2546 weight class) and Alex Alexandrov (ranked 482 p4p, 348 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helix keeps the fight on the outside.

Alexandrov lands a big head kick that sends Helix tumbling to the mat! Alexandrov takes a step backwards and waves Helix back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Helix is rocked!

It looks like Bodie Helix has been cut.

Alexandrov forces Helix back against the cage and clinches.
Oh Helix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alexandrov pulls guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alexandrov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alexandrov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Helix is controlling him.
Helix seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Alexandrov pushes Helix off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alexandrov fails to land with a series of punches.
Alex Alexandrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexandrov looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Alexandrov backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Helix's temple! It sends Helix violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Alexandrov celebrates and the doctors try to help Helix!
