Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredrico Schmico (ranked 1646 p4p, 3829 weight class) and Dalton Swas (ranked 210 p4p, 411 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fredrico Schmico! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dalton Swas! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swas avoids the body shot from Schmico.
Swas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schmico.
Swas tries to counter with a clinch but Schmico shakes him off and moves away. A nice combination there by Schmico.
A solid leg kick lands there for Swas.
Swas throws a low kick, looking for Schmico's leg but Schmico calmly moves out of range. Swas misses with a head kick.
Swas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schmico's waist but Schmico gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swas off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swas wants to clinch but Schmico slips to the side and Schmico counters with a stiff right hand. Swas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schmico.
Swas replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Schmico blocks it well. Swas looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmico is trying to control but can't.

Schmico is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swas is refusing to be controlled, as Schmico sits in half guard. Swas wants to get back to his feet.
Schmico is looking to stall here but Swas recovers full guard. Schmico seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schmico wants to pass the guard but Swas is keeping the position. Swas wants to sweep but no luck. Swas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Swas is controlling Schmico's posture. Swas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schmico doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schmico manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Swas wants to hit a sweep here but Schmico passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Swas there! Schmico trying to control but Swas is having none of it. Schmico wants to control but instead Swas manages to regain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Schmico not doing much here.
Schmico is keen to just control but Swas is a slippery customer. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Fredrico Schmico dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Swas tries to close the distance and clinch but Schmico swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Swas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Schmico swivels and escapes. Swas throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Schmico holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Schmico is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Schmico is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Schmico has Swas pushed against the cage. Swas is looking to take this one to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmico is working for takedown but Swas is calmly controlling the position for now. Schmico is looking to control Swas's arms but Swas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Schmico has his back to the cage. Schmico gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Swas.
Fredrico Schmico has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dalton Swas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmico has hold of one of Swas's legs. Swas is fighting the takedown attempt but Schmico gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Swas working for a triangle but Schmico defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmico frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Schmico trying to control but Swas is having none of it. Schmico controlling the position easily from mount. Schmico avoids the attempt from Swas to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Schmico wants to control but Swas is keeping him busy. Swas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schmico is working away from the top position though. Schmico is trying to control the action in half guard but Swas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Swas wants to get back to his feet.
Schmico wants to pass to mount but Swas is defending the position. Schmico is trying to control. Swas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Schmico instigates a clinch. Swas throws a knee to the head but misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Schmico keeps control of Swas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Schmico manages to break the clinch.
Swas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Schmico cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Fredrico Schmico dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Swas on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Schmico is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Swas pulls him back up using the underhooks. Swas jumps guard but Schmico stands there with Swas around his waist. Swas gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Swas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Schmico has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Swas after a bit of a struggle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schmico blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Swas wants to break the clinch but can't.
Swas has a couple of punches blocked by Schmico.
Swas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schmico has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Swas tries to land knees in the clinch but Schmico avoids the damage to the body. Schmico gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Swas regains guard.
Schmico trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Schmico might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Swas trying to control the position.
Schmico is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Swas can do to turn this around? Swas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Schmico not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Schmico being controlled here momentarily. Swas is trying to control the position but Schmico postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmico trying to control the position from guard on top but Swas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Schmico works over Swas with some ground and pound from guard. Schmico stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Swas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Swas keeping moving, preventing Schmico from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Schmico closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Swas did well to prevent Schmico getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schmico pulls his head out easily. Schmico prevents Swas from improving his position. Schmico looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Swas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Swas is looking for a sweep. Schmico is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Swas wants to get back to his feet. Schmico moves into full mount! Swas won't be happy about that! Schmico tries to control but Swas wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schmico breaks from Swas's wrist control and lands an elbow. Swas is working to get back to half guard.
Swas tries to hold on but Schmico postures up. Fredrico Schmico is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fredrico Schmico overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Swas is looking to get to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Schmico trying to control but he's not successful this time. Dalton Swas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Schmico looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Fredrico Schmico showed his dominance in that final round. Well Schmico has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Fredrico Schmico! After the fight, Fredrico Schmico was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
