Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ludwig Boltzmann (ranked 2576 p4p, 2855 weight class) and Fezzik Montoya (ranked 300 p4p, 321 weight class). Montoya has chosen The Other thing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya throws the left hand but Boltzmann avoids the punch easily.
Montoya misses with a straight right.
Montoya connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Boltzmann momentarily.
Montoya misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Montoya is looking to chop away at Boltzmann's legs.
Boltzmann throws a big shot that misses.
Boltzmann fails to land with a series of punches.
Montoya keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fighters circling - Montoya throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boltzmann misses with a kick to the body.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Montoya has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Montoya fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boltzmann to the ground. Montoya is now in Boltzmann's guard.

Boltzmann's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Montoya drops back looking for a leg! Boltzmann is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Boltzmann manages to kick Montoya off! Montoya jumps back into Boltzmann's guard.

Montoya is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Ludwig Boltzmann is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Montoya lands with an overhand left.

Montoya forces Boltzmann back against the cage and clinches.

Horrible takedown attempt by Montoya or perhaps it was just good defense by Boltzmann, which made it look bad.

Montoya tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boltzmann paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boltzmann seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And Montoya tries to counter it with a takedown but Boltzmann pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Montoya takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fezzik Montoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boltzmann misses with an uppercut. Montoya saw that one coming.
