Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Floyd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vlastimil Vyr!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Floyd is defended easily by Vyr.
Vyr scores with a jab to the jaw.
Floyd uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vyr.
Floyd is looking to counter the offense by Vyr and move into the clinch.
Floyd displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vyr throws out the jab.
Floyd bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Floyd ducks under a wild hook from Vyr.
Floyd seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Floyd uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vyr.

Vlastimil Vyr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Vyr is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Vyr wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Floyd misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Vyr has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Floyd seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Vyr can turn it around.

Vyr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vyr works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Floyd takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Vyr throws a lazy right hand but Floyd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vyr throws a jab but it's blocked by Floyd.

Floyd closes the distance and pushes Vyr back into the cage.
Floyd has Vyr pressed against the cage, preventing Vyr from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The referee is keeping an eye on Floyd - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Floyd wants a takedown but no success here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vlastimil Vyr dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joshua Floyd's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Vyr swats away the attempt to clinch by Floyd.
Floyd doesn't manage to clinch there - Vyr circles away.
Vyr uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Floyd has time to react.

A lazy left from Vyr finds it's target.
Floyd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vyr's waist but Vyr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Floyd off to one side.

Vyr cracks Floyd with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Vyr has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Floyd to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vyr wants to get back to his feet.

Floyd has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Floyd throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Vyr is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Floyd looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Vyr is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Floyd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Vlastimil Vyr has been cut.
Floyd lands a big elbow - Vyr is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Vyr is forced to tap out!
