And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Didi Perusinac!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Didi Perusinac has been cut.
Rodriguez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Perusinac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rodriguez avoids it really well and circles away.
And Rodriguez counters with a quick kick to the body but Perusinac blocks it.
We've been told by Rodriguez's head coaches at Cue's Crusaders that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Perusinac wants to clinch
and Rodriguez counters with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez scores with a nice strike.
Rodriguez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Rodriguez leaves Perusinac with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Perusinac shoots and misses
and Rodriguez counters with a huge left! Perusinac is in big trouble! He's backing up but Rodriguez isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Perusinac from any more damage. A dominating finish by Rodriguez!

After winning the bout, Raul Rodriguez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
