Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rokken Roll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddie Bravo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bravo ducks under a wild hook from Roll.
Bravo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Roll defends it well.
Roll fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bravo manages to avoid it.
Roll scores with a jab.
Roll throws a low kick, looking for Bravo's leg but Bravo calmly moves out of range.
Bravo tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bravo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Roll misses with a left hand

and Bravo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Roll's guard.

Roll has his foot on Bravo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravo works his way back into a safe position though.
Bravo wants to pass the guard but Roll is keeping the position.

Roll wants to sweep here but Bravo controlling him for the moment.
Roll lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bravo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Roll dives on top into guard.

Bravo is looking to sweep but instead, Roll has passed into half guard.

Bravo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bravo tries to improve his position but Roll has taken his back! Roll has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bravo tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Roll pushes Bravo away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rokken Roll!
Rokken Roll seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
