Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Marek (ranked 2167 p4p, 1215 weight class) and Roberto Karokaro (ranked 281 p4p, 168 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kamil Marek! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Roberto Karokaro! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karokaro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Marek throws a shot to the body.
Good exchange - Marek coming out on top. Marek throws a body shot but no joy. Marek missing with a left hand there. Karokaro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Karokaro connects with a good right hand that stumbles Marek. Marek circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Karokaro throws a lazy right hand but Marek sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marek walks into a jab. Karokaro throws a combination. Marek tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Karokaro fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marek misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. It looked like Marek wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Karokaro swings away with a leg kick that misses. Marek misses with an uppercut. Marek avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Karokaro with a jab. Karokaro fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Marek checks it well. A slow jab from Marek misses its intended target. Karokaro has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marek finds it's way round the side to connect with Karokaro's head. Karokaro looks to throw the jab but Marek is out of range. Marek seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karokaro misses with a jab, cross combination.
Karokaro throws a right and a left that both miss. Marek slips a jab and a cross from Karokaro.
Karokaro walks into a stiff left hand from Marek. Marek cracks Karokaro with a good jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Karokaro misses with a right hand and Marek counters with a crisp right hand that drops Karokaro! Marek lets Karokaro back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Karokaro is rocked! Marek is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Karokaro flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Karokaro is out cold! Marek holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kamil Marek! Kamil Marek retains his welterweight title! An out of breath Kamil Marek thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
