Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ed Bridger (ranked 1060 p4p, 2131 weight class) and Red Yabai (ranked 99 p4p, 195 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Red Yabai enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ed Bridger! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Red Yabai! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yabai throws out the jab. Yabai takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Yabai misses with an uppercut
and Bridger counters with an outside leg kick.
Yabai has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bridger finds it's way round the side to connect with Yabai's head. Bridger moves into the clinch. Bridger's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Still in the clinch, Yabai scores with a nice short uppercut. Bridger missing with knees to the body.
Yabai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Yabai managing to block the knees to the body from Bridger.
Yabai misses with some punches.
Bridger lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Yabai is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bridger has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Yabai - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Bridger, and another! Yabai is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Ed Bridger! Ed Bridger retains his featherweight title! Ed Bridger seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
