Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Orel (ranked 2202 p4p, 3140 weight class) and D.D Panda (ranked 307 p4p, 412 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adam Orel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, D.D Panda! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panda fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Orel, pushing him back against the cage. Orel dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Orel throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Panda blocks it with crossed arms. Orel misses with the head strike.
Panda takes a shot to the head. Still in the clinch, Orel scores with a nice short uppercut. Panda tries to pull guard but Orel forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Panda trying to control the position but instead, Orel has worked for underhooks and has pushed Panda into the cage. A knee to the head by Orel.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Panda avoiding damage.
Panda throws a punch but it's blocked by Orel. Panda effectively controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panda jumps guard but Orel turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Panda slows down the pace here.

Panda continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by D.D Panda. Panda avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Panda drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Orel defends it well. Panda fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Panda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Orel throws a big shot that misses. Orel moves into range and connects with a jab. Orel tries to bum rush Panda with a series of wild strikes but Panda uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Orel looks to land a right hand but Panda moved out of range. Panda changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Orel misses with a hook. Panda ducked under it nicely. Adam Orel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Panda gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stalling in the clinch from Panda.

Our sources have told us that Orel has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Panda is trying to pull guard but Orel has him pressed against the cage. Adam Orel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of D.D Panda. Orel lands with a left to the head. Panda blocking some punches.
Panda tries to stall but Orel uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Panda just leaning against Orel, taking a breather. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Orel lands a knee to the head.
It looks like D.D Panda has been cut. Panda stalling the fight.
Panda will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Orel up against the cage. Orel working aggressively here.

Orel wants to get back to his feet but Panda is dominant here and he's now got Orel's back! Orel is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Panda has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Orel's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Orel is trying to get back to his feet but Panda has full control of the position and if anything, Orel has just worked his way into a worse spot. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Panda keeps control of the position easily here as Orel tries to buck him off.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Orel dominated that round. The cut man is working on D.D Panda's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Panda darts in and clinches Orel up against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Orel lands a body shot. Panda is trying to pull guard but Orel has him pressed against the cage. Orel scores with a shoulder strike. Orel slowing the pace effectively. Nice body punch from Panda. The referee calls for Panda to work.
Panda has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Orel seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Panda can turn it around. Orel misses with some punches.

Panda tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Orel just stands there and leans against the cage. Panda slows down the pace here.

Orel wants to get up but he can't break Panda's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orel trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Orel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A jab from Orel misses. Orel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Orel throws a series of punches but Panda moves out of range. Orel misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panda closes the distance and clinches. Panda's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Orel connects with a nasty looking knee right to Panda's face.
Orel gets through Panda's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Panda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Panda gets control of Orel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Panda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Panda has a closed guard, preventing Orel from standing up. Panda has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Orel should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Panda has tightened it up now! Orel should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
