Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Spicoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty Trombone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spicoli's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wipe Out - The Surfaris. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeff Spicoli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rusty Trombone! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trombone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Spicoli is trying to defend but Trombone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Spicoli tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Trombone is nestled in close to Spicoli, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Spicoli trying to hold on to Trombone's head to control him but Trombone postures up.
Trombone is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Spicoli has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Spicoli is trying to control but can't.

Trombone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Spicoli tries to roll over but Trombone keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trombone perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Trombone is looking to take a break and control but Spicoli is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Trombone trying to pass the guard but Spicoli defending well. Spicoli might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Trombone is keen to just control but Spicoli is a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Trombone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Spicoli is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Trombone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Trombone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Spicoli utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Trombone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Spicoli is trying to control Trombone's posture but Trombone avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spicoli misses with an elbow from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trombone working the head with strikes. The strikes coming from Trombone are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Trombone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Trombone working away. Spicoli is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Trombone is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Trombone throws the left hand but Spicoli avoids the punch easily. Spicoli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trombone moves away. Trombone misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trombone is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spicoli. Trombone uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Spicoli misses with the combination.
Trombone shoots in for a takedown but Spicoli shows good takedown defense. Trombone clinches. Spicoli lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Spicoli tries to pass to full mount but Trombone defends it. Spicoli not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Trombone trying to control but Spicoli postures up.
Spicoli working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Trombone is trying to get back to full guard. Spicoli lands with a punch from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spicoli looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Spicoli is thwarting Trombone's attempts to control the position. Spicoli trying to mount his opponent but Trombone defends it. Trombone keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Spicoli is taking a breather. Trombone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Trombone desperately trying to maintain half guard. Spicoli not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Spicoli is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Spicoli takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusty Trombone dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trombone is defended easily by Spicoli. Spicoli drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Spicoli working away. Trombone is looking to reverse the position. Trombone managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Spicoli.
Trombone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spicoli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spicoli scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Trombone to see if he's OK. Trombone is trying to get back to half guard. Spicoli tries for a kimura but Trombone is defending well. Trombone gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Trombone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spicoli tries to control but Trombone wriggling away. Trombone is trying to escape the mount.
Trombone tries to hold on but Spicoli pushes him away. Spicoli pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. A nice elbow there by Spicoli. The referee warns Trombone that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Trombone is rocked! Jeff Spicoli overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Spicoli breaks from Trombone's wrist control and lands an elbow. Trombone is still in real trouble! Can Spicoli finish him? Trombone is in a horrible position here. Spicoli smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Trombone is bucking up trying to escape but Spicoli cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Spicoli controlling the position easily from mount. Trombone slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Trombone seems to have recovered his senses. Spicoli wants to pass to mount but Trombone is defending the position. Spicoli frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Trombone is looking to get to half guard. Spicoli with a couple of short strikes. A nice elbow there by Spicoli. Trombone blocking the ground and pound. Spicoli putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Spicoli breaks from Trombone's wrist control and lands an elbow. Trombone is looking to get to half guard. Trombone avoids a series of strikes thrown by Spicoli.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spicoli blocks Trombone's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Spicoli with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spicoli lands a heavy elbow. Spicoli avoids the attempt from Trombone to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice straight punches there by Spicoli. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Spicoli. Spicoli sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Trombone's defenses. It connects perfectly with Trombone's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
