Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Bloodaxe (ranked 752 p4p, 3792 weight class) and Ono Kuronoa (ranked 112 p4p, 404 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gunnar Bloodaxe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ono Kuronoa! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bloodaxe scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Kuronoa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. An inside leg kick from Bloodaxe misses. Bloodaxe swats away the attempt to clinch by Kuronoa. A clash of legs there as Kuronoa blocks the low kick. Kuronoa waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bloodaxe. We've been told by Bloodaxe's head coaches at Blacktalians MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Bloodaxe feints and then cracks Kuronoa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kuronoa down. Nice straight punches there by Kuronoa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kuronoa. Kuronoa delivers a nice body kick. Bloodaxe throws a leg kick but Kuronoa moved away. Kuronoa steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Bloodaxe. Bloodaxe takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kuronoa ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Bloodaxe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kuronoa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bloodaxe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bloodaxe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Kuronoa dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bloodaxe misses with a straight left. Kuronoa tries to counter with a clinch but Bloodaxe shakes him off and moves away. Kuronoa misses with a kick to the body.
Ono Kuronoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuronoa misses with a lunging right hand
and Bloodaxe counters with a leg kick. Bloodaxe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kuronoa ducks under a wild hook from Bloodaxe. Bloodaxe sets himself, and Kuronoa steps forward looking for the clinch! Bloodaxe avoids it this time. Kuronoa lunges at Bloodaxe with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Bloodaxe's hand. Bloodaxe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kuronoa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Bloodaxe avoids a kick to the body.

Bloodaxe misses with a hook. Kuronoa bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Kuronoa jabs at Bloodaxe's body. Bloodaxe is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kuronoa. A thudding body kick lands there by Kuronoa!
Kuronoa keeps Bloodaxe at a distance using the push kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kuronoa tries to move into range but Bloodaxe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bloodaxe misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bloodaxe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kuronoa scores with a body shot.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bloodaxe checks a leg kick. Bloodaxe moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kuronoa is rocked! Kuronoa gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bloodaxe gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kuronoa is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunnar Bloodaxe! Gunnar Bloodaxe thanked the fans post fight for their support.
