Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Liwa Kursiwa (ranked 2616 p4p, 3686 weight class) and John Frost (ranked 238 p4p, 303 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Liwa Kursiwa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Frost! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kursiwa shoots in and drives through. Frost sprawls well. Frost throws out a counter right but Kursiwa avoids it with no problem. Frost misses with a series of wild punches.
Frost pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kursiwa wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Frost looks to land a combination but Kursiwa avoids it well. Kursiwa looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Frost missing with a left hand there. Kursiwa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Frost looks winded! Kursiwa forces Frost back against the cage and clinches. Frost breaks the clinch.
Kursiwa looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Frost throws a nice head kick!
Kursiwa misses with a two punch combination.
Frost has his takedown stuffed and Kursiwa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like John Frost has been cut. Kursiwa feints a jab promting Frost to slip. Kursiwa then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Frost slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kursiwa dives in for a single leg takedown but Frost sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Kursiwa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kursiwa drives through and clinches with Frost against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kursiwa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Frost looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Frost fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kursiwa avoids it really well and circles away. Kursiwa throws a series of strikes that have Frost backpedaling.
Frost is rocked! Frost rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kursiwa counters with a crisp right that sends Frost to the canvas! Kursiwa follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Liwa Kursiwa! Liwa Kursiwa thanked the fans post fight for their support.
