Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blake Phoenix!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf lands with a cross.
It looks like Blake Phoenix has been cut.
Phoenix throws a shot from downtown. Wolf moves away and avoids it.
Wolf is looking for a counter combo.
Phoenix avoids a kick to the body.
Phoenix wants to clinch up but Wolf keeps it at a distance.
Wolf is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Phoenix slips a jab and a cross from Wolf.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Phoenix! But no joy.
Phoenix misses with a hook
and Wolf counters with a big head kick but Phoenix shrugs it off.
Wolf misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phoenix throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Wolf to counter with a crisp jab.
Blake Phoenix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wolf lands a big head kick that sends Phoenix tumbling to the mat! Wolf takes a step backwards and waves Phoenix back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Phoenix is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Phoenix tries to clinch
and Wolf counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Phoenix thinking.
Wolf lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Phoenix scores with a sloppy right hand. Wolf should have avoided that one.
Phoenix connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wolf's hands.
Wolf cracks Phoenix with a good jab.
Wolf finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wolf! Phoenix is out on his feet! Wolf rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Phoenix is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Phoenix is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Wolf!
An out of breath Aaron Wolf thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Blake Phoenix was interviewed post fight and said 'WTF? You've got to be kidding me!'.
