Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leon Lentz (ranked 513 p4p, 436 weight class) and Apophis Kalmisto (ranked 78 p4p, 63 weight class). Kalmisto is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tässäkö tää oli. Apophis Kalmisto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leon Lentz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Apophis Kalmisto! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lentz throws a good cross that connects.
Kalmisto drops his hands momentarily and Lentz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A chopping leg kick lands by Lentz. Lentz gets caught flat footed, as Kalmisto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Lentz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kalmisto postures up.
Lentz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kalmisto is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kalmisto with a flurry of punches that miss. Kalmisto trying to control the position from guard on top but Lentz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lentz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kalmisto. Kalmisto postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lentz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kalmisto, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kalmisto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lentz is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lentz trying to control but Kalmisto is working from the bottom. Kalmisto looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lentz is defending well. Kalmisto quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lentz has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kalmisto celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
