Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mac Womack (ranked 3887 p4p, 23025 weight class) and Panda One (ranked 436 p4p, 577 weight class). Mac Womack has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Womack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Panda One!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Womack moves away.
Womack looks to throw the jab but One is out of range.
One slips under a jab from Womack.
Womack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Womack takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Womack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Womack fails to land with a series of punches.
One tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

One feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
One showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Womack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but One can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
One controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Womack pulls One in close to his closed guard and prevents One from doing any damage or advancing position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Womack is concentrating on defense, preventing One from advancing position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

One looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
One wants to free his trapped foot but Womack is holding on for dear life with his legs.
One performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Womack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
One swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Womack lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but One circles away quickly and effectively.

Mac Womack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
One changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Womack is looking for a sweep. One is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

One is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Womack can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

One is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Womack has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Panda One will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Womack pulls out of a head kick attempt.
One with the counter takedown but Womack avoids it easily.
Womack takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Womack fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
One drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Womack defends it well.
Womack swings widly with a right hand

and One counters with a takedown into side control.

One tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no One has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
One laying and praying for a moment but Womack takes advantage and regains half guard.
Panda One has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Womack preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

One is looking to take a break and control but Womack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Still in half guard, One seems content to control.
One is continuing to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Womack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Womack throws a head kick that One semi-blocks.

It looks like Panda One has been cut.

One shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

One seems to be working for a kimura but Womack defends the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

One is looking for a kimura but Womack is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for One to get the leverage.

One is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Womack is just riding it out for now. One eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
One is keen to just control but Womack is a slippery customer.

Womack is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but One pulls his head out easily.
Womack wants to get back to full guard.
Womack trying to hold on to One's head to control him but One postures up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
One avoids the head kick by Womack.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Womack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Womack throws an overhand right that lands on One's shoulder, as One tries to avoid the shot.
One changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Womack misses the shot to the body.
One avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mac Womack will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Panda One's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mac Womack is winning the standup battle so far.
Womack falls off balance throwing a combination

and One counters with a single leg into guard. Womack didn't expect that.
One controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
One pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Womack is keeping the position for now.
One trying to control the position from guard on top but Womack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

One is stalling here. Womack is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! One seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Womack has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Womack gets to mount! One was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

One holds on to Womack as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Womack is looking to work his way around to One's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Womack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Womack misses with some ground and pound and One recovers position to half guard.

Womack seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. One is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
