enabling Kearney to counter with a crisp jab.

Kearney fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vilkas manages to avoid it.

Kearney throws a combination that misses
and Vilkas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Vilkas lands a lovely overhand right.

Vilkas drops Kearney with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kearney looks back up at him and smiles so Vilkas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Kearney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Vilkas closes the distance and clinches.
Kearney lands a body shot in the clinch.
Kearney misses with a short punch on the inside.
Vilkas creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Kearney's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Kearney drops to his knees and Vilkas pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
