Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tiaoali Lvavatai (ranked 1752 p4p, 1819 weight class) and Aleksander Kazimierz (ranked 100 p4p, 104 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazimierz moves in looking to clinch but Lvavatai pushes him off.

Lvavatai throws a hook to the side of Kazimierz's head but Kazimierz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Kazimierz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lvavatai wants to stand and escape but Kazimierz is having none of it.
Kazimierz told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kazimierz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Lvavatai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kazimierz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lvavatai lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Lvavatai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Kazimierz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tiaoali Lvavatai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksander Kazimierz.
Kazimierz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
