PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klay Dee (ranked 2878 p4p, 3427 weight class) and Ricky Greene (ranked 157 p4p, 190 weight class). Dee comes to the cage accompanied by Death Patrol Destroyer. Greene comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stepdad- Eminem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klay Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Greene!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Greene.
Greene moves out of range of the body kick from Dee.
Dee throws a jab when Greene was well out of range.
Dee avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dee throws a body shot but no joy.
Dee throws a sloppy head kick and Greene moves out of range easily.
Greene bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Dee's head.
Dee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Greene misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We've been informed that Greene has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Greene shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Greene is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dee doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Greene.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dee pushes Greene off looking to stand but Greene dives back in and keeps control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
